金氏徹平(1978 - )於2000年代初期嶄露頭角,同樣透過日常的物質去呈現千禧世代面臨的人類生理與心理存在的缺席感。在不同的時空架構之下,金氏徹平在對物的思考中加入了人的投射,也反應了當代世界中物的交錯複雜。於紐約日本協會、金澤21世紀美術館、東京上野之森美術館、北京尤倫斯當代藝術中心等機構個展,作品獲日本多數美術館與亞洲私人藏家收藏,金氏徹平被視為最活躍的日本當代藝術家。近期,金氏徹平亦展開多項跨界合作,包括於日本橋高島屋百貨內的大型裝置等。


奶油般、或如化妝品般的流體,漂浮在我們熟知的影像上,是《Sea and Pus》系列的主軸。《Sea and Pus》為海與膿,在日文中奇特地它們擁有同樣發音,似乎因為它們都是人類恐懼的來源。這次展出的《Sea and Pus》,以古老的動物圖鑑與化妝品廣告的液體形象重新拼貼,透過理光(Ricoh)的最新2.5D印刷技術所完成的最新版次作品。


「當拼貼的素材範圍拓展開來,人類的存在、空間,都進一步成為拼貼的對象。且因意義層次的紛亂、與其他異領域的連結,成為了一種更具流動性的表現形式。」-金氏徹平
