「SHOUT IV」收錄了吳美琪近年來的攝影作品,並獲英國攝影雜誌的駐墨爾本策展人、作家、攝影家Daniel Boetker-Smith評選為2019年最佳攝影書與展覽。這本限量版的合輯為雜誌「攝影之聲」所出刊,收錄了吳美琪與其他兩位台灣影像藝術家。該特刊內含小誌、明信片、折書、海報、以及吳美琪的新作「YXX–The Flares」與舊作「XYX–A Moveable Feast」。

「SHOUT IV」, which features a compilation of recent works by Wu Meichi’s, is featured in the British Journal of Photography’s Best of 2019 list by Melbourne-based curator, writer and photographer Daniel Boetker-Smith’s for top photobooks and exhibitions. The limited edition release by Voices of Photography magazine features special compilations by Wu and two other Taiwanese artists working in the medium of photography. The compilations include zines, postcards, folding books and posters, as well as works from Wu’s most recent exhibition 「YXX-The Flares」 as well as her previous series 「XYX-A Moveable Feast.」

In Boetker-Smith’s words 「SHOUT enables the team at VOP to publish new work by emerging photographers outside of the framework and limitations of their regular printed magazine. As a result, the publication always takes an exciting and experimentalform and includes surprising and unexpected imagery.」

為了慶祝新出版的攝影集「Gankotoshi」,Akio Nagasawa Gallery 展出了日本攝影家須田一政的攝影原作。本攝影集著重在須田一政2019年3月逝世前一直以相機捕捉的「眼睛」。

「Gankotoshi」透過這位攝影大師的相機,尋覓了許多在街上的各式眼睛。這些美豔的眼睛不緊抓著我們的視線,同時也注視著我們。

Akio Nagasawa Gallery has been exhibiting a show with vintage prints of the recently departed Japanese photographer Suda Issei, in order to celebrate its next new publication 「Gankotoshi」, a photo book focusing on the 「Eye」 as the main subject, which master Suda Issei was working on before sadly passing away in March 2019. 
「Gankotoshi」 focuses on the photography master’s approach to capturing depictions of the eye found in his street photography. Theses beautiful images attract our gaze, while returning it.

居住於巴西聖保羅的台灣藝術家林亦軒最新個展「在星空下」現正於聖保羅Ateliê Fidalga展出。本次個展與布魯塞爾駐聖保羅獨立策展人Julie Dumont合作,也是林亦軒於當地Projeto Fidalga駐村後的發表展。該展與駐村計劃皆為第14屆巴西Curitiba雙年展的一部分。

混合了西方與東方的影響,游移在抽象與具象之間,林亦軒將主觀生活經驗轉化成一種圍觀的狀態,既是藝術家,也是觀看者。

Sao Paulo-based Taiwanese artist Lin YiHsuan’s latest exhibition 「Sob o Céu Estrelado」 is nowon display at Ateliê Fidalga in São Paulo, Brazil. The solo exhibition, produced in collaboration with Brussels-based independent curator Julie Dumont, is the culmination of Lin’s residency organized by Projeto Fidalga. Theresidency and exhibition are both part of the 14th Curitiba Biennale.

Mixing references from the East and the West, between abstraction and figuration, Hsuan translates the subjective experience of his life as a nomad and as an outsider, as an artist and as an onlooker.

中國畫家趙剛的最新個展正於邁阿密佩雷茲美術館舉行。該展回朔了趙剛獨特的藝術實踐,以同時身為局內人與局外人、美國人與中國人的身份創作,14件大型畫作展現了趙剛對中國歷史的幽默與批判。該展同時也以「公寓藝術」的沙龍形式展出—一種1980年代學術體制外的北京藝術家常採用的展覽方式。

Chinese painter Zhao Gang’s latest museum solo show is not on display at the Pérez Art Museum Miami. The exhibition traces the unique perspective of Zhao Gang’s practice, as both outsider and insider towards his own Chinese and American identity. The 14 large scale works presented characterize Zhao’s sometimes humorous and often critical approach to Chinese history, and the images that comprise this past.The exhibition also features a salon-style 「apartment art,」 presentation, acommon practice for Beijing artists of the 1980’s showing works outside of state approved institutions.

Echo after Echo : Summoned Voices, New Shadows

鈴木展最新系列作 Interexcavation 現正於東京都現代美術館 2019 一年展「Echo after Echo : Summoned Voices, New Shadows」展出中。該聯展展出許多新潮、與世界共響的當代藝術表現與媒材,如時尚、詩、攝影、錄像、聲音、拼貼、畫。
鈴木展的作品通常關乎繪畫與語言,並長期創作不同媒材,如平面作品、雕塑、錄像、攝影與行為。

Hiraku Suzuki’s newest Interexcavation series, is now on display in the MOT Annual 2019 「Echoafter Echo : Summoned Voices, New Shadows」 at the Museum of Contemporary ArtTokyo. The group exhibition introduces the forefront of contemporary expression by bringing together and reassembling various media such as fashion, poetry, photography, video, sound, collage, painting, and drawing as techniques that echo and respond to the existing world.

Hiraku Suzuki’s works often engage with the relationship between drawing and language as a consistent theme within his practice. He continues to produce works that expandupon this concept through encompassing a large variety of media from two-dimensional works to sculpture, video, photography, and performance.
